How do I make a consultation?

Consultations are free of charge and are taken daily. Just contact the artist you wish to work with. Should you wish to make an appointment for a consultation please remember to bring your ideas with you.

Will I see my design beforehand?

The final design will be ready for you to see on the day of your appointment. This way, should we need to make any changes to the design, they can be made in person.

How do I book my appointment?

Once the tattoo design, placement and date have been agreed a deposit will be required. Deposits are a confirmation of your appointment and will be taken off the final price of your tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable.

Deposits cover the work and time preparing your tattoo for your appointment. This includes designing your tattoo and any correspondence we have together. For this reason, and the cost of losing a day’s work, we do not refund deposits.

If you need to move or cancel your appointment, please give at least two weeks notice. This allows us to book in and prepare for another client. This way your deposit can be carried over to a future date and we won’t lose a day’s work.

Generally, we charge on a piece-by-piece basis.

Can I bring someone else with me?

To follow our insurance policy, you can’t have anyone else with you at the artist station. Children are not allowed in the studio unless accompanied by an adult when getting a piercing.

How do I prepare for my tattoo?

It’s advisable not to drink alcohol 24 hours before your tattoo. Alcohol thins the blood, making the tattoo process take longer. It also delays and impairs healing. Before your appointment try to have a good night sleep, breakfast and plenty of water to hydrate the skin.

During your tattoo there will be the opportunity for breaks to refresh yourself, drink and eat.

Please wear appropriate and comfortable clothes too.

Will my medication affect the tattoo?

If you have a medical condition, please reveal it to me before the tattoo procedure. Do the same if you take prescribed medication.

Affected conditions include, but are not limited to:

Heart Conditions / Diabetes / Hemophilia / HIV / Hepatitis / Severe Allergies / Epilepsy / Pregnant

Acne medications: If you’re taking Accutane, Minomycin (or any other Tetracycline related medication) or other prescribed drugs for acne, you do not want to get tattooed. Prescription drugs for acne cause skin to be hypersensitive and getting a tattoo can lead to severe pain and scarring. It can take six months to a year for the medication to be out of your system once you stop taking it. After this period, it’s safe to be tattooed.

Antibiotics: Some antibiotics make skin hypersensitive and may cause skin reactions. It’s suggested to wait at least a week before getting tattooed.

Blood thinners: If you’re taking any kind of medication to thin blood, you’ll want to inform me beforehand and also consult your doctor. Depending on the reason you’re taking the medication, it might not be advisable to get tattooed, or it might require shorter sessions.

Aftercare

At the end of your tattoo appointment, your artist will discuss aftercare advice with you. They will also give a sheet with all the necessary information.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the studio.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Generally, the studio charges on a piece by piece basis. Nevertheless, we encourage you to contact the artist you want to work with.

Each artist prices their work individually and that for reason you should contact them if you’re after a specific style.
